Understandable Statistics Description
UNDERSTANDABLE STATISTICS: CONCEPTS AND METHODS, Tenth Edition, is a thorough, yet accessible program designed to help students overcome their apprehensions about statistics. The authors provide clear guidance and informal advice while showing students the links between statistics and the world. To reinforce this approach, the book integrates real-life data from a variety of sources, including journals, periodicals, newspapers, and the Internet. The Tenth Edition continues to address the importance of developing students' critical thinking and statistical literacy skills through special features and exercises throughout the text. The use of graphing calculators, Excel®, MINITAB®, and SPSS® is covered though not required. Extensive technology resources include an algorithmic test bank and lecture slides, along with interactive online resources and a market-leading DVD series designed to provide reinforcement for students and support for instructors.

This "hybrid" textbook does not include the questions at the end of each section! Instead, the questions are only available through a website called Aplia. To get access to the questions, you need two codes: an access code and a course key code. Only the access code is included with the book. The course key code needs to come from your professor. If your professor does not have the code, this book is completely useless because Aplia will not give you a course code. If you do have a course code, it is only good for one to two semesters. After that, you will no longer have access to the questions.
Since my instructor did not have the course key, this book was a complete waste of my time and money. I have to get a refund for this book, and do not know if I will get a refund for any of my shipping charges (to and from my home). I wasted time arguing with their technical support, which at the end could not come up with any solution except to tell me to get a refund. Now I have to go to the post office to send this book back for a refund, as well as wait for a new copy of the book to arrive. And of course, my homework is now late!
I highly recommend that you do NOT get this textbook! The restrictions make it difficult, if not impossible, to sell the textbook when you are done with it. The restrictions also make the textbook less useful as a reference text, since you will not have access to the questions after two semesters. If you must get this textbook for your course, consider getting the hard cover version. If you want to save money, do not get this hybrid version; instead get the International Student Edition of this text.

As a previous user stated this book does not have the questions in it. You have to go online with a bunch of special codes to get access to the questions. then the book is useless after you take your class because no one will want to buy it after. I hope I can return mine.
