Burn for Me is Cynthia Eden's first installment in her new and outrageously good Phoenix Fire novels.
In this book, intrepid reporter Eve Bradley is posing as a doctor to infiltrate the top secret lab of the nefarious Dr. Richard Wyatt. The brilliant doctor is experimenting on supernatural beings in an attempt to create a super solider. However, the fiendish man is anything but ethical. When Eve is forced to participate in an experiment she gets more than she bargained for. For she is asked to conduct an experiment on the powerful and dangerous Subject Thirteen. When Subject Thirteen is killed before her eyes and them miraculously comes back to life she is terrified then relived. The sexy paranormal suject touches her in ways she doesn't understand. Unfortunately, the feelings are mutual and Dr. Wyatt notices Subject Thirteen's protectiveness towards Eve. The doctor decides to use her to try to control him. Eve must try to escape the lab and take the sexy supernatural now known as Cain with her. As they try to break out and save other paranormals they soon find themselves ruthlessly hunted. For secrets in Eve's past and Cain remarkable abilities are coveted by the mad doctor. Can they stay ahead of the merciless madman and find happiness?
