I've been interested in expanding my investment portfolio to include overseas property, but have yet to take the leap. I still haven't as of this writing, but this book has me rearing to go. Not so much in the places she talks about (btw, Mongolia? That's a bit of a stretch...or at least a bit too adventurous for me), rather the idea.
Of course i have no doubt that the opportunities are real, and the tips and insight invaluable, but the excitement and motivation this book provides is worth the price many times over. There are great little stories on the usual trials and tribulations...warnings on the hazards of buying outside the US (real estate agents are apparently even worse overseas), but also heartfelt and endearing tales of incidents with the local people.
Finally, as a practical matter, I very much enjoyed the design and layout of the book. The sections are organized logically, and the information (there's a lot for a first timer) is cut into very small consumable sections. Very easy to read through quickly.

I enjoyed the specifics. Where, when and how and a country by country. The tour allowed me to zero in and ataget three specifis investments.
