Pricey, but for students serious in the subject, this will be a valuable investment. Well written, balanced, and comprehensive. For years now, Laudon has been a pillar author in the field of Management Information Systems. This title is well written, well balanced, with detail subjects, cases, examples, review etc. It covers wide range of Information Systems aspects. The cases provide real case practical insight of the subjects to the student, coupling the theory to real life cases, providing a view of real life cases, making it interesting to the enthusiastic student. Good about this title is also that it's constantly being reveiwed and updated. Hence every two year or so, a new edition. As technology is constantly evolving, reviewing and updating the text is very valuable. For example this 12th edition has new topics like, cloud computing, green comptuing, 4G networks, mobile platforms, and more. This 12th edition also comes with online video cases, for each chapter. Instructors using this book can find instructions on how to make the videos avalaible to their students. Whished this book could be offer at a much better price for students, although a valuable investment. Students who choose to continue in this field, will keep this book and treasure it, as an excellent reference book, especially in the beginning of their careers.
