This Dummies Book about the Catholic Faith was so wonderful. I am not a Catholic but wished to know more about the Catholic Church and what they believed. The book was so interesting and at times even funny. It kept my attention. This would be a great book for those that have been Catholic from birth. In fact, I have had Catholic friends who do not know what their church believes. This is also a wonderful introduction to anyone who is not Catholic. If one is curious about what Catholics believe or how the Mass, priests, deacons, weddings, christenings, baptisms, sacred taking of wine and bread, and more. If you desire to know what the pope has charge of, and about the various Saint days or holidays this is your book to tell you all about them. It just seems to answer every question. This is why in my humble opinion it deserves the best rating.

This is a well-written, informative, and fascinating book. The authors are priests who cover every imaginable facet of Catholicism, including the Mass, sacraments, traditions, saints, the clergy, and why Catholics believe what they do. This 2012 book is up-to-date and includes the new changes to the liturgy as well as the child-abuse scandal. I think the book would be of equal interest to non-Catholics and Catholics as well. I enjoyed all the trivia and learned new things about the Church's viewpoint on the rapture, evolution, and the death penalty.
Everything you ever wanted to know (and more) about the Catholic Church is included and you can choose the topics you want rather than read the book through, if you like. There's a lot of historical information about the origins of Church doctrine which I found really interesting. Highly recommended.
